Any one know why they went around this morning from a VERY low altitude? Why were they on ground freq at the time?

Capt,
Your profile suggests you are a pilot, then surely you would realise that as pilots we do occasionaly have to do go arounds.
Keep it real.

Correct PK. I do understand that. I was just wondering why, AND from such a low altitude AND why on the GROUND Freq?
All real questions with genuine good intentions.

I do not know the reason for this incident or do I know why he would be on ground frequency, but there could be any cause for the very low altitude go around, or in this case seems like a 'rejected landing' procedure which is almost identical to the go around procedure. For the 737 and other types you can reject a landing from 50 feet if you have to. Wheels may touch the ground though from this alt. Will be interesting to know the reason though for this Ryanair case. They seem to be getting alot of press on and off PPRuNe lately!
