What are the typical 737-300 oral exam questions, and that’s FAA?

Something tells me you're not a Canadair driver.

Well, take the questions asked on the Canadair and answer them for a 737. You say you're in the USA, do you have any idea who is going to give the oral?

That was it? I could probably answer most of them based on the other 2 Boeing types I have. The FAA guidance for an oral says it should last 2 hours. Take out 15 minutes for the intros, paperwork and a performance problem and you need to be able to talk about the plane for over an hour and a half. I know a guy who has done entire 747-400 orals on the flap system and how it relates to other systems on the aircraft.

Oh, I forgot. The OP doesn't know who the FAA is.

To be honest, I really don’t know who is going to conduct my oral, but Pan Am will probably inform me.
And Arba I appreciate your shear of information.

That was my (perhaps too) cynical answer to your question, "What's FAA?" Who ever gives the oral exam, they will be a representative of the Administrator.

When you walk out to the plane, what are you looking for?
(Exterior Safety Check items.)
Before we even get on the plane, what's powered?
(Hot Battery bus items.)
What requirements have to be met to start the APU?
Battery Switch ON, APU fire switch and handle IN.
What does the APU do for us?
Bleed air and electrical power
Which one has priority?
Electric
Why?
There's no generator drive unit on the APU.
What are the limitations for using the APU on the ground?
In flight?
How does the APU get its fuel?
What will cause the APU to shut down automatically?
What are the indications of an APU fire?
What are the memory items for an APU fire?
What happens when you pull the APU fire switch?
What if the fire switch doesn't unlock?

That's probably enough about the APU.
