I just started work at a new weekend job, where they use those beeping laser scanner things on the tills.
If you are operating the tills the unit points directly at you. You don't see the laser light...But I do feel a bit strange after sitting there for half an hour or so.
As radiation is such a prominent topic for pilots, I wondered whether any of you knew anything about the effects of laser radiation (non-ionising?).
And if so, do I have a reasonable case to stop working on these tills if they have a negative health effect?
Cheers
Mike
