Just saw a short video of the Air Tractor at-802U :)
Wild!!
--1 million dollars (cheap at least for a Government)versus 60 million dollars for the loud fast things.
--take-off and land... short 'n'Rough
--dirt cheap to run and maintain
--slow enough to actually see something fast enough to get out of the way if you don't like what you see
--okay doesnt haul as much as the loud things but easy to forward base and what a sortie rate
Perhaps SNS3Guppy in his senior role should construct the training course with plenty of AG work. Improving low level flying and Nav whilst also being a service to the community. Who said modern flying is just systems monitoring?!
