Personality Analysis

A friend of mine at SAA showed me a document that basically split people up into (mainly) one of four catagories; something to do with being an extrovert or introverted, analytical etc, etc. However, I didn't get chance to have a proper look at it, and it's something that I'm quite interested in... so if anyone has any idea what I'm going on about, and can point me in the direction of some documentation, I would be most grateful!! Any opinions of it's value (or otherwise!!) would also be appreciated.

Think it's a bit passé these days though.
