EASA Flight plan designator for EVS qualified

Hi

I've recently been advised that EASA has a requirement to enter into a Flight Plan a certain designator that confirms crew on board an EVS / HUD equipped aircraft are EVS qualified in order to clear them for an approach using the equipment on board - FAA do not have this requirement. With winter fast approaching, it may become a consideration.

Can anyone shed any light on this topic??

I guess not many out there use HUD/EVS....

I'll try the post on Biz Jets as its a reasonably familiar piece of equipment to some there...

Do you mean EVS or EFVS? Easa don't differentiate but the FAA does.

For directed flight you need EFVS. EVS is just for situational awareness.
