The item about Grandfather Rights is interesting. It suggests EASA cannot decide that there can no longer be a sub-ICAO licence such as the UK NPPL.
Nothing new in this other than to state that AOPA are pushing for sensible conclusions!
That depends on what solution EASA will arrive at to get to a conclusion?
As no one really knows what EASA are trying to achieve a solution may not lead anywhere.
If it is a solution to solve a safety issue in a different way thats understandable?
If its a solution to political empasse thats another question.

If its a solution to getting rid of N reg from Europe there can be no other solution other than the end result,
We have to know what EASA are trying to achieve before an alternative solution can be found.
Reference to regulations regarding operational controls is also menacing as that again seems directed at jets and making them operate to AOC regulations or in other words money for the boys.
Again it all sounds like a lot of pressure from the AOC brigade to wipe out N reg for good and get private ops under their umbrella.
What a shame they dont have the slightest bit of intellligence to work out where their real enemy lies. They should have pushed for deregulation throughout not dragging everyone else into the pits they live in.
