Decided to take a trip to Gloucestershire today. Having checked my log book I found the last time I had flown in there was in 1966. I have to say it was a great day out maybe because the sun was shining. The team at Staverton were great ( I am always aprehensive when taking a slow vintage a/c into a busy airfield)
Many thanks Staverton

Gloucester/ Staverton has been a big favourite of mine from my long cross country when getting my PPL to working out of there on my first flying job. What vintage aircraft did you fly in there?

Got my licence there 20+ years ago- happy memories (and it was Staverton only then)!

Wrecker...it's changed a bit since 1966, hasn't it?

Did you get your vintage landing fee discount (half price for pre-1955) and cheap fuel?

Certainly did. That also helped make the day even better!
