With deep sadness, I advise you all of the death of well known and popular local gyrocoptor pilot Kevin Hughes.

Kevin was killed on Saturday in a road accident near his home on Anglesey whilst riding his motorbike.

Kevin will be known to many of you, having based his gyrocoptor at Mona for some years, along with fellow gyrocoptor owner and motorbiker, Andy Kitson.

Kevin was highly respected within the local aviation community, both as an exceptional engineer, and as a very proficient pilot with a cool and professional approach to his flying.

One of lifes good guys, Kevin was always found with a smile on his face, enjoying good company and being better company. No matter how bad your day was, Kevin would have you laughing within seconds, making it a good day.

Smooth skies and clear roads Kev.
