Weather at Bournemouth (elevation 30ft) yesterday afternoon when I landed was 500ft BKN at best with a vis of 4000m-ish. Coming over the top of the New Forest on the A31 (in the car, naturally!) at about 1730 the drizzle and cloud were on the deck. Not the best of days to try to get into a grass airfield at an elevation of 550ft with no approach aids. <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

Having said that, as always very sad when someone goes down in this way.
