Under Oz rules, what an instructor can do is extremely limited unless flying under the authority given by an air operator's certificate that includeds a flying school licence.

What is it you want to do?

Most flying schools will give you instruction in your own aircraft, and only charge you for the instructor's time.

In Brisbane, try RQAC or Flight One at Archerfield; or Air Gold Coast at Gold Coast;Redcliffe Aero Club at Redcliffe, or Darling Downs Aero Club at Toowoomba if you don't mind going a bit further afield.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try the organizations on the Sunshine Coast. I have had my RPPL since 1982, but never did the x-country component. It was latter updated to a full PPL! I now am silly enough to want to buy my own STOL AC (probably the 701) and tour around the country. Don't really only want to rely on the GPS!
