Hi,

Just wondering if anyone attended the Malaysian Airlines intrview in London during the previous week. If they did, any information regarding the interview would be great...

Thanks in advance.

I'm waiting on that Sim screening with MAS. Anyone who has done it already on the B737 have any comments on it? Much appreciated.

I've attended the interview few days ago. about 25/30 mins talk with HR and FOPH... they introduce themselves, then they invite you to do the same. no technical questions, they are more interested in how you would deal with problematic captains.

luck

@A320Maverick: check on Protec Technical website

What do u guys think about the conditions that are for this job?
Am I missing out something?
So far I haven't found anything that is wrong/missing.

And that's not basic:bored:

Basic is around $2500 with remainder made up of expat allowance, productivity pay, and down route food allowance!

I know Malaysia can be cheap to live, but come on ........

This is not a commuting contract either. no housing,no pension, no insurance....

I was also Told tax at around 19% on this.

Surely not many takers on this with much better options elsewhere at the mo??

Hello,
last week i got an invitation for an interview in Asia from MAS.
With no information at all concerning contract details- no word.
I asked them via mail to inform me about the details and got no answere- no info.
The only info i got together with the invitation was:
Any expenses incurred for the interview will be borne by your own.
So, no info, no mail contact apart from the one mentioned above but just fly and pay...:=
No, no, i have time to look for better companies and the times are changing. 8.000 hours on turboprops and jets should be good enough in the future.
Fellows, dont let them handle you too bad.

Is MAS still looking for DECs?

Anyone have T&Cs for DECs as well?

Also would like to hear from recent joiners too.

Thanks.

Medical, things to expect:
1) you must fast (which means nothing to eat and only drink water)
for 10 - 12 hours before blood test, i.e. arrival at medical centre.
2) 2 urine tests - 1 is supervised and is a drugs test
3) ECG
4) Chest X-ray
5) Audio test (hearing)
6) Sight test
7) Doctor's examination
8) HIV test
after you have payed a 70RM charge they will provide you with
your medical straight away.

Sim: from the right hand side.
The sim check was really straight forward and the instructor
pretty much starts everything up and positions you on
the rwy straight away.
KLIA plates will be used during the whole check.
After take off we started out with some airwork (so the basic
handling skills)
The PF had to make some radial interceptions while still manually
flying the plane. (no FD/AT)
After 2 interceptions we got vectors back for a raw data ILS.
After that an engine failure after V1>> do the procedures while the
instructor gives you vectors for a holding.
(the holding was flown with HDG SEL, you cannot put it in the FMC
but AP was allowed) the PF has to figure out the correct entry.
Then come back to the airport for a one engine inoperative VOR/DME
approach (with AP)
After that we had to make a single engine go around>> joined the circuit
and concluded with visual(no FD/AP)
END OF CHECK

Good luck guys....
