ATC Medical

I have a valid class 1 medical and am applying as an Air Traffic Controller. My question is: Does the class 1 medical cover the right to work as an Air Traffic Controller, or would I need the class 3 medical as well?

I have not had much luck getting this question answered so far, I hope someone in here can help. If you can even direct me to the legal documents explaining this it would be an even greater help.

You will need the class 3 medical as well. I hold both the class 1 (for flying) and the class 3 (for work as ATCO).
