Just back from California having done the IR and everything is now back to normal. There are a couple of flight restricted areas but apart from that the skies are more or less open for business - just dont linger around any sensitive areas such as power plants, dams, etc or you may get yourself an uninvited wingman!
Interestingly enough, before the restrictions were lifted those pilots under tuition were allowed to solo but if you already had your PPL you were grounded unless you went up with an instructor!?!?!?!? Work that one out....
