Arggghh!

I was booked in (or the spam can was) with a paint shop in Switzerland from the coming Saturday for a full strip, prime and respray. Having arranged new screens, a little
time off work, the scheduled return ticket etc. etc., I received a call this
evening telling me that the main man has today broken his arm and will be
unable to do the job until next year.

This is going to be more inconvenient to him than to me, but still leaves me
in a pretty uncomfortable position: the exterior is already shabby, and the
I strongly suspect the coming winter will considerably deteriorate the
underlying airframe to an unacceptable degree if I don't do something about
it.

Ideally, I would like to find another paint shop that can fit me in asap,
but failing this, am looking for hangarage for the winter - preferably not
too far from White Waltham, so it can be at least used occasionally. The
alternative would be to deposit the a/c in the hanger in Switzerland for the
winter, which makes it a tad far to travel for a weekends flying, and still
doesn't address the protection of the airframe. It does have the *slight*
advantage it allows me to use the scheduled ticket however ;)

Can anybody recommend a paint shop for the above mentioned work, who will
complete a suitable job for an a/c kept outside, preferably with 'phone
number, but otherwise with enough info to track them down.

Just about anything considered at this time!

I cannot praise the work of Mick Allen and sons too highly! He does a brilliant job; I've had 4 ac painted by him and everyone who's seen them asks where they were done!

Mick - if you're reading this we may need your services soon as one of my little black ducks has just been savaged by a Latvian Il-76...........

I would also recomend the above paint shop but the guy is working flat out as are all the good paint shops so dont expect to get the job done quickly.
