View Full Version : Turweston
I am living over here in the UK for a while, and have currently flown out of Booker, and Cranfield. I have recently learnt about Turweston (I knew there was I reason I should have picked up my own chart earlier). I am just looking to do some smash and goes around the circuit to keep my foot in the door, before I go home for christmas (I get to do plenty of fly there!).
Any suggestions of a club at Turweston? And a phone number would be a great help too!
Thanks!

......plus the best aeroplane paint shop in the UK!! I've had all 4 of my ac repainted there (or earlier at Spanhoe) and the quality is superb. Flew past Turweston today - friendly A/G operator most professional! If you go to Turweston (very handy for the British GP at Silverstone, by the way!) please NB their noise abatement procedures.
Thanks guys, I will probably go flying there in the coming weeks!

We had our C172 done by Mick Allen last year and a very good job he/they did too... :)
Flew a PA38 down to Turweston to drop off ferry pilot for the return flight and had to land in stonking x/wind. ATC were really helpful, reading off the w/v every few secs as I was on finals. Now that's service !

3000+ posts BEagle. You really should get out more.
Hear one of your aircraft got modified by an Antonov. What`s the story and can it be fixed?

1. I suppose I should - but only if the weather improves!
2. It was an Ilyushin 76. There has never been any problem with A340, An 124, B757, C-17, TriStar, B747 etc etc using that taxiway.
3. The ac was turned upside down by jet blast.
4. We hope it can be repaired - currently waiting for an estimate.
