Anyone know of a decent (global or at least European) discussion area for Aeros?

I'd rather not use an email exploder service that I've seen in a few places.

Or, if there isn't one, is there merit in there being one here?

Interesting point, Paulo. I'd certainly be a keen customer. Any more?

You need Patty Wagstaff's web page (http://www.aerobaticsource.com)
which contains a pprune-style aerobatics forum.

Have fun!

I don't see any reason why we couldn't discuss aerobatics here, in the Private Flying forum. I know I'd be interested in it. I wouldn't be able to contribute too much, having not done any aerobatics yet (except as a non-handling passenger), but I'd certainly be interested in reading about it.

Other merits of discussing it here are that it will make other PPLs aware of the sport, and the issues around it - both from the point of view of getting more people involved in it, and from a safety point of view of knowing what other pilots are doing, or likely to be doing, and keeping out of their way.

Maybe we could do a quick pole - how many people on this forum regularly do aerobatics, and at what level?

I've just got started - 9 hours aeros dual in a Robin 2160 last week, about to start solo practice of figures, and a little more dual to start sequencing.

Might do beginners level competition next year - would be curious to hear about anyone who's done it.

You might also like to see this: http://www.aerobatics.org.uk which is the British Aerobatic Association web site - not a forum but the source of everything to do with Aerobatic competetions, power and glider, in the UK.
