A380.

Not sure which forum to post this in, so Mods, please move if necessary.

Last month my son flew on the Air France A380, Heathrow-Paris-Heathrow. He took some fantastic video out of the window. One thing puzzles us.

On the trailing edge of the wing there are three nacelles. The centre one has what looks like a valve ? Now what is it ? Is it to allow fuel to be dumped in flight ??

Sounds like they are boat fairings, they house some of the bits used holding and workings of the trailing edge flaps.

I think one of them each side has a nozzle, that is where fuel will leave from if selected, it looks like a pipe sticking out the back, dark in colour may be.
