So im having so much trouble understanding this naming system, why is the CRJ 900 linked with CL600 2D24, I thought a "CL600" means Challenger 600,

But I thought that a "CRJ" (Canadair Regional Jet) and a "Challenger" are different aircrafts ... this is so confusing, just about as bad as Nvidia with their GTX 260 and GTX 260 Core 216 if there any computer enthusiasts out there ..xD

Would appreciate anyone that can shed a definitive answer on this for me ..?

All CRJs were certified as amendments to the original CL 600, as were the the 601,604 and 605. Simple as that, the engineers had their way with the numbers after CL 60.
