Please, let me answer.

1. You are a fresher. You are not expected to know 'Performance Charts' for the Boeing 737-400 (The sim you'll be mostly doing the IPT on). Neither do they ask about TAFs/METARs etc.

2. What you are asked to do depends on your examiner. Your list sums up what is usually asked but not in the correct order. NO ILS approaches. You are in control of only the heading and course selector on the HSI. I've not heard of anyone being asked for an NDB approach yet.

3. The batch that you are put in depends on your performance in the IPT.

4. As far as I know you may go back to your city. But confirm with your examiner.

Remember the IPT is no longer about what you know as theory but how you apply it in real flying. The IPT is all about them seeing if you know where you are and what are you going to do when given an instruction (eg. Intercept, Hold).

3rd Batch starting on 24th December for 737
Total Selected 104+16 = 120
More Recruitments bound to happen soon and for sure.
People without Jugad's sure do get recruited.

Today, Jet's HR has sent mails to everyone who have successfully cleared their sims, advising the months of their joining.
Some have been intimated about FEB month Joining and others about the MARCH.
Their are also 99% chances that jet is going to initiate a fresh recruitment process in the month of January (Last week) or Feb (1st week) .

Cheers

@ antigravity61

Contact the Jet Airways HR. I guess everyone has appeared for the IPT including the re-assessment candidates, and they have even got the e-mail for their induction in May '11. And for the others its Feb and March '11 as aviation_insider has mentioned.

Does anyone know if Jet will call for an written test / assessment
without a converted Indian CPL ?

I know they have done this in the past (2008) .

Any chances for someone who still is in the conversion process ?

@cyrilroy - well, in the last induction with jet, they required you to have your license for the written exam but they never checked that during the conduction of it... You can try updating your resume on the jet website or jus send one to [email protected] and keep a follow up with them, or contact them over d phone.. And if u're in mumbai, the best option would b to visit their office. That way you can not only drop your resume, but also u can enquire whether u cn give d xam despite nt havin an indian cpl..

In Delhi, on the day of the written examination, they actually checked the copy of CPL at the enterance along with the email that was sent.

Thank God for the replies. I thought the thread was dead. I gave my interview on 26th Nov and IPT on 15th jan, cleared, yet no mails from the Jet.
I might be one of the luckiest to get this far but at the same time the waiting period is killing me slowly.
With another induction process, I guess they are planning to merge up with the new guys.

Hi about the simulator test, how do you prepare for the same?
Like someone who hasn't flown in like 2 years, are there any classes conducted in bombay or delhi, where you can refresh the simulator flying?

Follow up the link, you will get to know many things about the IPT.
I did practice on Microsoft Sim 2004, it was pretty good for me. All the approaches, dme arcs, mode of entry, holdings etc came out very well.

In the Ipt, you are to use only 3 knobs.. course, heading & altimeter. sometimes the ROD/ROC too. Speed is fixed 180kts.
The instructor is more concerned on your procedures than flying or maintaining PTS.

Hearing rumors that people from the Feb 2011 written/GD (CPL freshers) will be getting a call for their interviews this week. Good luck.
