The GA-7 is a Grumman Cougar twin. 2x 160-hp engines, 3800lbs MAUW, apparently 160 kias max cruise. Only ever seen two, quite a small looking aircraft. I have no actual experience on this type so cant comment on performance, but those who do say it handles nice but could do with a few more horsies.

You might like to try the following site to compare the Cougar with other light twins:

I believe Cabair have one / some at Elstree and perhaps their other bases too.

The capital Radio Flying Eye G-FLII is a Cabair Cougar based at Elstree. What funthat bloke has: I often see him from my office steep turning at what looks to be no more than 1000ft (but is probably higher) over Central London. Presumably there is enough in each donk to avoid a swim in the Thames if the other one quits whilst he has pie-eating journos in the back.

Usually not above 1500ft LL QNH, not less than 1000 ft above obstacles. it always looks closer than it is!

GA7's a small twin, 4-seater. Now being built by Socata and marketted as a TB20. I'd be very surprised to see one doing 160, though. If I remember rightly, 135 would be closer "in real life".

GA-7, lovely stable aeroplane. Never goes anywhere in a hurry, does great wingovers. One looks out of the cockpit and OVER the nose, rather than having the view obscured by it as in a Senneca etc.
I have 140 hours in them.
Nice...
