Speedbird,. .. .I suggest that you get hold of either the PA28 checklist or the more comprehensive Piot's Guide to the PA28, both published by AFE.. .. .You'll probably find both at Transair, or possibly the former at a flight school.. .. .SD

They are roughly the same as any other aircraft with the important checks beeing fuel and oil. You would be best refering to the checklist and an instructor incase there are any quirks.

There's no substitute for the proper operators manual, and frankly if you're with a club that don't give you access to the proper Piper manual, I'd change club.. .. .Having said that, you could try <a href="http://www.deltabyte.com/captaindave/capdave.html" target="_blank">http://www.deltabyte.com/captaindave/capdave.html</a> or <a href="http://www.piperowner.com/piperowner.html" target="_blank">http://www.piperowner.com/piperowner.html</a> which both have a lot of useful gen.. .. .G

Im not sure why you are asking this question here. In what way do you have access to a PA28, as an owner or prospective owner, SPL etc ?
Im just interested as the hairs the back of my neck went up as I read your post.

Speedbird,

yep, definitely get hold of a PA28 checklist, they're only about £5 ish

then again I've made a few additions of my own to the checklist
just to remind me of a few imprtant things.

watch
sunglasses
wallet

:)

You want it when?

Something else to add - "Tiedowns" not only removed but cleared or stowed. Saw a 172 run over someones spike tiedown - certainly upset the creep mark :p

There's a .pdf checklist for a Warrior here (http://www.namericanaviation.com/docs/Checklists/warriorchecklist.pdf)

I agree with Genghis - get familiar with the Piper POH for the aircraft, expecially with regard to weight and balance which can vary from a/c to a/c, especially if the a/c has been "winterised" and the heavy duty battery mounted in the engine bay rather than in the luggage area.

Enjoy the PA28 - a much maligned aeroplane IMHO

dkosky,

What other notes do you have on your checklist. Can you post them here or email me please.

If it helps keep me safe....
