As Im a Ppruner thirty something ! I once remember a Mr Gary Numan, a big popstar in my teens, who was known to be keen pilot. Does anybody know if he still flies ? I remember him recalling flights that he'd made to exotic locations on TV many years ago and of numerous forced landings that he'd done , but havn't heard anything of him for years .
Just interested !!!

Hi I last saw him a couple of years back at Biggin Hill he was flying as lead in a two ship Harvard/zero/display,which included formation aeros,The flying was very accomplished more so than his earlier days.I think you will find he is still flying not sure about displaying though. Bye for now

I met Gary last year at a gathering to celebrate the life of the ace warbird display pilot and Virgin Captain, Norman Lees. I think at the time he was a bit subdued about it all, but got the impression that he was still flying on a regular basis.

Regards.

"Here on my bike, I can do what I like, duh DUH duh duh, duh DUH duh duh"
Wasn't that how one of Mr N's fab hits used to go?

Nowadays he is often to be seen at North Weald, hanging out with the Yak-istas.
