Having again listened to the final landing of the three Concorde's into LHR (AE, AF & SB2) many years ago, the first two Concorde's (AE&AF) were transferred to LHR Tower on 118.7 but the final Concorde SB2 was transferred to the tower on 118.5.
As they all landed on 27R, I wonder if someone could shed some light as to why the AE & AF were transferred to the tower on 118.7 but the final one SB2 was transferred to the the tower on 118.5 ?
Thanks in advance.

Was it three o'clock?
Don`t want to be accused of being a spelling Nazi, but don`t let the French see you miss the "e"....should be Concorde.

Looking at other web sites, I believe that they all landed shortly after 16.00
PS
Don't want to upset the French so original post edited.

It was an error. Final Director got over-excited.

Don't think it was an error, as the Concorde Pilot queried the frequency and it was confirmed by the controller as correct.

Didn't the last LHR controller trasmitting have something to do with the first concorde ever at LHR? Or maybe that was JFK?

I know at JFK the controller issuing the last take off clearence was the same one that worked the first ever Concorde at JFK. I believe it was the case on this last day at Heathrow too.

But the day in question was not the last Concorde movement at Heathrow..
