Rather than hijacking Les' (RiP) thread I got to wondering about the many ATC families I've known over the years - the Jackson, Rowland Rouse, Hanbury, West, Neale and other familes come to mind. Are there yet any 3rd (or more!) generation ATCers around yet?

Me, sort of.
My dad was an ATCO at LHR, and before him, his dad worked in the Air Ministry during WWII and after.

I`m one.

My father wasn`t.

There`s no way my son will be.

Sad isn`t it?

Our profession is slowly being strangled by pen pushers.:ugh:

Father (RAAF), Step-Father, 2 brothers and myself ATCO's. Another brother who was a pilot is the 3rd generation of the family to serve in the RAAF. Grand father was a RAAF framie during WWII.
However if you wanna make money follow my sister and sister in-law do accounting.:}

Agree with Roger Sir
although there is a strong history of aviation in the family:
My father held a double commission, army (RHA) and RAF.
Uncle was a RN fighter pilot
Brother was a RAF Navigator
Other uncle was a bomber pilot
There are many more that could be included.

Funk is correct re making money tho!

Cheers:ok:

Interesting, some ANSPs look like family businesses.

The Wildeys and the McColls....

There are lots of Clones in NATS management.

Did you mean clones? Or is it a mis-spelling?
