BALPA Subs witheld?

A mate of mine in our, ahem, national carrier tells me that the flightdeck are so disappointed with the failure of BALPA to negotiate decent terms and conditions on their behalf over the last 5 years that there is a movement afoot to withold one months subs from BALPA (August is the favourite apparently). Any truth in this?

Correct. And a provisional plan for taking our subs elsewhere if they repeat their legendary "success" of previous years in this year's pay round.

How, pray, does one do this if you pay by direct debit or direct from salary? I have no great love of BALPA's mis-representation over pay last year but I believe things are changing and it is quite simple if I don't think things have improved after the conclusion of the next pay negotiations then I shall leave.

Sounds rather a childish and counter-productive gesture to me.

Is this rumour started by the same person that claims we are all bidding low in August?
