Hi,

we are group of Czech pilots planning our trip from Czech Republic to Canary Islands for August. As far as I know permission is required for flying a microlight in Morocco. I have been searching Internet for ages, but I haven't found any email address, where I would get a response for my permission requests. :{ Please, could anybody of you help me with an appropriate contact? I would appreciate any hint regarding flying in Morocco as well

Only thing I can think of right now is to ask these guys for advice/help;

NATS | AIS - Home (http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php.html)

Mike at White Rose Aviation can do your Moroccan flight clearances - he's very good and not expensive.

Check this (http://www.flightsystem.net/) out.

Also, there was a thread on here a couple of years back of someone doing just that. Try the 'advanced search' function, it should be findable (that said, sometimes it's easier to find a thread on here using a standard Google search).

Thanks to all for your advices - I'll try the links.

172driver - I found it, but the information were quite out of date and, if I remeber right - it was couple of months ago, mentioned contact didn't work. There is a guy - axATC from Morocco - who resently sent me some AFTN adresses, so it's another chance for me.

I believe that your best source of advice will be the national aero clubs in the countries that you plan to fly through.

There's a list of national aeroclubs here (http://www.fai.org/fai_members), and a bit of searching should find their contact points, who are probably the national microlight delegates listed here (http://www.fai.org/directory/delegates.asp?id=1). They should each know the local rules for microlights, and be able to put you in touch with the right people to gain national permissions.

Best of luck, sounds a fun trip.

Hi, so finally I did it. You have to send all documents to [email protected]. I really suggest to call them on 00212537679407 and ask them about the status - you will find, they will request some more documents or they will ask you to resend some of them. They issue their permission just couple of days before flight. You have to make sure the validity date is correct and all airports you plan to visit are listed in the permission, othewise the are ready to prohibit your landing. The requested documents are:

certificate of registration,
airworthiness certificate valid,
insurance valid,
licence radio valid,
ELT registration HEX number
flight crew licence valid,
Routing and date of flight
