Who or what is LOMAN?

Us SHWs at LHR are wondering who or what LOMAN (near N3) is named after.
Answers on a postcard please....

(09R A/c companies, 09L animals, 27R spacey-type stuff)

There was a certain logic to the number system, but I could never work out how Blk101 and Blk100 came to be at opposite diagonals on the airfield.

ISTR that the name Blk53 had two applications, one being of the walking variety.

Dunno about Bl 53, M.... I do know that RD and others determined scientifically (using pi) that the "average" block was 111... How on earth can you produce such earth-shattering information when the holds are given daft names?

I am not sure any of them should exist, my understanding is that 5 letter identifiers are reserved for airborne use only and that the LHR holding point designators are not ICAO compliant. It is certainly the only place I have ever seen them used as holding points and it does seem to cause confusion on read backs amongst crews who are not regulars and have not got used to LHR's little quirk.
