I recently completed my PPL and I'd like to do some Emergency Manouvres training while I am in California. I've heard about Attitude Aviation (near San Francisco), CP Aviation (Santa Paula, near LA), and Sunrise (also near LA). Anyone have experience or recommendations with these schools, especially for the Emergency Manouvres training?

All 3 of those are good schools. I did my tailwheel and initial aerobatic training with Attitude - they no longer have the Decathlon online but have 3 Citabrias and a Pitts S-2C, amongst others. Both CP and Sunrise have excellent reputations although I haven't flown with them because I live in the Bay Area. West Valley Flying Club also does acro and emergency maneuver training out of Bay Area airports and there's the Tutima Academy (Sean Tucker's school) in King City.

PM me if you have specific questions.

Another vote of confidence for Attitude - good aircraft and excellent instruction. I've got about 130 hrs in their Pitts plus a bunch of time in various other aircraft there. For basic unusual attitude recovery, a Citabria is fine - they have several.

Can't comment on the other places.

I would also recommend Attitute Aviation - they were awesome during the short time I spent with them. All extremely friendly and accomodating and knowledgeable.
