Just saw the latest Aer Lingus 'CARA' in flight mag.

On page 59 they have a fascinating article entitled 'The sky is not falling down'.

In the article they proceed to lecture the flying public on how to run your business during (quote)"...all of the hype surrounding the apparent downturn in economic conditions [which has] turned the worlds business population into latter day Chicken Littles." (unquote)

This is the same company which is currently seeking to downsize by 2,000 employees, including threatened compulsory redundancies for 86 pilots out of 550. Pilots they just trained at enormous expense.

Who are they kidding? Are they truly so excruciatingly hypocritical as to think they can teach a businessman en-route to LHR a thing or two about business success? Or are they just plain lacking in the slightest bit of self awareness?

Or perhaps it's what we all suspect anyhow, that they concur with the sentiments of the author of the piece, and that the sky is indeed 'not falling down' at Aer Lingus.

Are you getting the message guys?

What's a Ryanair driver doing in an Aer Lingus aeroplane - don't you trust your own? Nah, I wouldnt either after seeing an engine change on the tarmac last summer.

Anyway, don't bother rising to the bait cos I won't be back - just pointing out the pathetic nature of your post in kind.
