Anyone know of one that is accurate and that enables GoogleEarth to display all UK airfields in the program?

Thanks for that. Once I download the file how do I add it to google earth?

Ive tried clicking it, it opens google earth but the file is not listed in my places or anywhere else.

I downloaded it. It was a Zip file. I clicked, and it unzipped. I then opened Google Earth. I clicked on "file" at the top of Google Earth, and chose the unzipped file to be opened. The airfields were now on my Google Earth.

This may be of help. It's on the BAeA homepage. Go to "Pilot Briefing" (top left corner under BAeA logo), then on to "Airfield Overhead Pics". Hope this is what you're after.

Regards.

The pix on the BAeA site - through Multimap - should not be trusted to be current! I looked at only one and that was at least four years out of date. The aerodrome in question has different runway lengths/markings, new obstructions and hangars now, which are not shown!
beware.....!

rgsaero,

Thanks for the warning re the BAeA site photo's. I've only just found them myself, and haven't checked any.

You can get the UK airfields and airspace here: lloydbailey.net (http://www.lloydbailey.net/airspace.html)

Select SUA and United Kingdom. When you click on the map, a +Google Earth icon appears on the map. Click this to download the file for Google Earth.

Liam,

The world airports one only have major airports, lots of smaller fields left out.

Think basis is ICAO codes so anything that don't have a code don't show up. Also some are phantom, or placed slightly out of place.

the airfiield catalogue above is accurate though and has the smaller strips.
