Interesting flying...during the ASH crisis

Hi,
Did anybody manage to complete any different kind of flying during the ASH crisis?

I was stuck overseas and unable to take advantage of the situation.

A couple of approaches to LHR would have been fun….

I understand some lucky guys managed some low approach and over shoots at Gatwick.

Any other interesting flying I have missed?
