Vancouver-to-Hawaii Westjet aircraft has trouble on takeoff (http://www.vancouversun.com/travel/Vancouver+Hawaii+Westjet+aircraft+trouble+takeoff/2740268/story.html)
A Westjet aircraft taking off for Honolulu from Vancouver Internatonal Airport had technical problems on takeoff and is now sitting on the south runway.

"Everybody's safe on board," said Alana Lawrence, YVR spokesperson. "It's undergoing an inspection right now."

Lawrence said she could not say what the problems were until the inspection is completed.

"We're not currently experiencing any delays, but depending on how long the aircraft is parked on the south runway, we may see delays later," Lawrence said, adding that travellers may want to check the YVR website before heading to the airport.

Usually a flight crew rejects a takeoff before 80 knots, but this flight's crew braked at 110 knots, which caused the blow-out. ??

WestJet does not yet know why the flight refused takeoff. ?? What does that mean, they already departed then returned.

WestJet spokesman Robert Palmer said at the time that incidents like this happen once or twice a year. ?? On that particular WJ flight ? Note to self: avoid booking WJ 1862

This isn't meant to slag WJ I just cringe the way aviation events are sometimes reported
