Embraer E-Jet question

Hi all,

What's the difference, if any, between like an Embraer E190-100 and E190-200? Same with the E170. Just wondering.

E190-100 is an E190, E190-200 is an E195.
Same for E170-100 (E170) & E170-200 (E175)

It is all about take off perfomance and weight. Also range and maximum landing weights, seats to name a few. At LCY when you get a chance ask one of the Dispatchers?

My understanding is that there are four basic E models. They are the 170, 175, 190 and 195 and each can be purchased in an extended range version. The differences between the numbers are basically the aircraft dimensions and the numbers of seats fitted. They are flown on a common type rating as the flight deck (including the crap Honeywell A/P panel and FMS with no concept of performance) and method of operation is standard throughout.

The basic aircraft is the 170 (170-100). Fuselage plugs are then used to extend the aircraft: 1 extra plug for the 175 (170-200), 2 for the 190 (190-100) and 3 for the 195 (190-200).

The 190 series has a different design of wing and taller main undercarriage to incorporate the larger engines.

The 190-100 has the maximum range of the four models. The main difference between the 170 series and the 190 series are the engines, with different limitations, there are a couple of minor electrical differences too, though pretty much everything else is identical.
