Quick question regarding cross boarder Air Taxi flights(9 pax or less) from Canada to the US.

What type of fines or penalties could the PIC of an aircraft receive for landing at a non AOE in the United States?

For instance if I were to miss at my destination and land at an airport where I haven't made arrangements with customs or worst where no custom officials are available.

Without notification...a $5,000 fine.
However, diversions are certainly recognised the CBP department...within reason.
Therefore....normally not a problem.

Try talking to the US CBP office at your planned airport of entry. You would need to do that anyway to give them notification, but they would also be able to answer any other questions you may have about your trip.
