Agreed, brilliant pic. But taken from where - ground or another helo? I'm not familiar with Whitby topography.

Taken from the 'top deck' of the eastern harbour pier looking towards the cliffs at the base of Whitby Abbey. Not there at the time; but I do know the area very well. It is a great area for fossil hunting if that is your thing; but knowing the tide times is a vital part of your days enjoyment..!!
Big :D to the crew; if my own memories of being on the yellow budgie are correct then it was about a full cable length winch.
