Hi there !
Does anyone know why a PTU fault is triggered if the second engine is started within 40 seconds following the end of the cargo doors operation ?! [FCOM 3.03.08 p.2]

Thanks in advance ! :ok:

The PTU is inhibited during and immediately after cargo door operation.

Normally the PTU will run briefly during the second engine start after the engine masters are both "On" and the hyd differential still exists. The aircraft looks specifically for this operation, and considers it a 'test.'

Start the 2nd engine while the PTU is still inhibited due to cargo door operation, the test never happens, the aircraft is unhappy and the fault is generated.

In this case, "who" is the aircraft?

The SDACs? CFDS?

You'd have to be damn quick to get 2 engines started within 40 seconds!!!

As has been said. the PTU is inhibited when the cargo doors are operated and the inhibit continues for 40 secs after the door operation has finished.

Is it a coincidence that the cargo door operation to complete it's closing cycle taking 40 seconds?
