With the chance of a share in a TB10 coming up, Does anybody know what the difference training will involve and how many hours this usualy takes? Ill be making the move from a PA38..

You have to satisfy the Instructor that you can operate the prop correctly. This could be a short chat on the ground, or a series of flights, but one would expect it to take very little time if you have read the right books. You could get it done as part of the check ride.

After 2 or 3 hours in the circuit after you've been signed-off it all becomes so natural (don't skimp on the books though.. VP props do go wrong from time to time...often when it's most inconvenient!) Enjoy! bm
