Radio Failure

Hello guys

A following question. When you are flying overhead algeria and lets say 20 min prior crossing mali, you encounter a radio failure. What is the best thing to do? Continue according flight plan or divert to, for eg algiers, even if this alternate is not in your flight plan?

Who already encountered a radio failure before entering africa and how did you deal with that?

Not necessarily a radio 'failure', it's just that the tower has unplugged the ATC radio so they can boil up some tea....nevertheless, when it doubt in Africa...press on.
They'll answer, sooner or later.
If not, then you are in the next FIR, rapidly.

exactly. not hearing a response from "ATC" in Africa doesn't necessarily mean your comms have gone TU.
