Iran-rotation endangers my US-crewvisa?

Dear colleagues,

my question:

I have a US- C1D Crewvisa in my passport and now I have a planned roster including a flight to Iran.
Does this affect my next Trip to JFK or the US-visa in any way?
I was told to use a second passport for flights to Iran.
Does US- immigration finds out that I have been to Iran and gives me a hard time next time I enter the US?

Having a second passport saves a lot of hassle. Be it about israel, the US or other states, many do have problems if they find a certain entry stamps or visa in your passport, that is why i have a second passport since 10 years now and no problem with that.

I think Iran are the ones who might cause trouble if they don'y like a stamp already in your passport, rather than the USA. I agree with Denti, a second passport is the way to go, saves any hassle.

To answer your question cptrcrazy, I don't think it will be such a big deal, especially given the fact that you are not a US Citizen.

Unfortunately, US Immigration Officers wield a fair amount of individual power and one having a bad day can infect your day also.

However, during the last few years I had travelled a number of times through the US with a number of Saudi Visas and many passport stamps. At best, I've been asked why I was there.

I don't think I'd worry about it if this is a one-time trip. Otherwise, get a second passport (if your Government will give you one).

My Australian passport managed to spend quite some time in Syria and Saudi Arabia, and I never had a problem entering either the US or the UK.

Oh and trips to Tehran on occasion from Kuwait were just there and back...no overnights therefore no passport stamping required.

Iran does recognise Kuwait as a sovereign state but it refuses to recognise Bahrain, (or did), as it claims Bahrain as it's own.

We operate into Tehran on a regular basis and (unless they are putting an electronic stamp on the chip) there is no entry made on the passport for aircrew, they just stamp the crew manifest and you use that to get out of the country. Passports are not retained at the airport as in Saudi. Hope you enjoy the trip, apart from no booze its not a bad place. People are very friendly and there are plenty of interesting things to do, if you are a skier then a short trip up the mountains gets you to some nice slopes, equipment can be hired there.
