Will Cathay Pacific pay out a dividend to its shareholders before paying back its staff? Hmmmm

CX policy is to screw the staff. Use any excuse to take from the staff, use any excuse not to pay them back. I have had enough - so no more SLS etc.

That would meet the definition of "Companies fortunes have returned" would it not Mr Tyler?

between 40-65 cents per share, probably on the lower side.

SLS's only 'legitimacy' is based on the voluntary support of the staff. That support (...and I realise the term 'voluntary' is questionable at best) is only as legitimate as the company's response to it's repayment. There should be no question of declaring a dividend prior to returning the staffs basic pay. To do otherwise would show contempt for the needs and expectations of it's staff and would assure that no further attempt at such a scheme would ever again be considered.

Geez you guys have short memories. They paid a dividend during the whole SARS end of the world ordeal as well. If you took SLS enjoy your extra time off and stop whinging. You could have always said no. Apparently 5% of the guys did. If you get the cash back you've had a good win.
