I have a picture that I would like to be dated approximately
I know it is in Hong Kong in Pottinger street but am trying to find out who it is and the year it was taken
The best clue I have is the BOAC bag the model is carrying as it is quite unique by the larger than usual icon above BOAC words
Any suggestions gratefully accepted - At this stage I think it is 1967 or later

The style of the dress and hemlength put it more like 1959....hems went above the knee about 1965 :)

No, my wife was in short skirts above the knee in 1962/3.

That BOAC logo was used (with minor variations) between 1945 and 1965. After 1965 the dots between the letters were removed and the font changed. At a guess, the larger speedbird image points to the 1955 -1965 period.
I'm basing this partly on these timetable images: BOAC - British Overseas Airways Corporation (http://www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/ba2.htm)
Firstly, how nice to see a model with calves, hips, waist and bosom in proportion.
Second The world of Suzie Wong came out in1960, so that might suggest a relationship.
Third, I was working for BOAC at that time, and the bag does look large, but my memory, like myself, is dim and not totally reliable.

Thanks everyone - I agree re the font change as the main clue to approx date but had thought this was later on. Many thanks for the info and link to bring this date back to c 1965
As far as the model goes, the man in the shop believes its sophia loren but I'm not so sure. She seems to have caused a stir whoever she was

My wife suggested 1961 based on the clothes...I don't think its Sophia Loren

Possibly Capucine, 1964 with William Holden in `7th Dawn`,but `set` in Malaya.
