View Full Version : Urgent Cash revival needed at Gulf Air
4 Countries,Bahrain,UAE,Qatar and Oman run Gulf Air.
The plead for cash input has fallen on deaf ears,as the 2 latter states are not responding to the call.
Not that much has been heard from UAE,since their REP; Ex-CEO has been removed.
Bahrain has to be the loner in this one,since the airline is its pride and not forgetting the major employer of locals.

60 million coming in but for lease-outs????
After the swan dive of the A320 into the Arabian Gulf, I would be surprised if anyone wanted to fly with GF. Have they released the report?

basic report on gf web page...think they are a safer airline because of it..lots of eyes opened, issues addressed...fly them all the time...their major problems are in ticketing and customer service ares as far as fustration levels go it's the most frustrating airline to travel on...but once on board the service is great cabin staff freindly and helpful..airplanes clean...food great..

GF got BHD60.0M {US$150+}last week (BHD15.0M from each of the four owner states). Enough to keep them going until the end of the year one hopes. Radical management changes and quick fixes in certain areas are slowly being conducted. Good luck to them. Let's hope the thieves cannot/do not get their hands on this 'wad' or it is quite possibly the end of what once was the envy of most other airlines.
End of the year!!! Just can't see it going down. Far far too much loss of face to see one of the original Arab airlines pegging in - what with the price of oil it is now.

They haven't lost passenger number since the crash,at all.
In fact they are 60 to 80 % full on most sectors.
Their problems are in some other departments,that needs urgent revival,or else even the latest cash input can't save anyones face from close-up "shop".
The present CEO reckons he has the balls,If I were him,get some help,and stop acting part of a seasoned executive.
Their cabinservices are still quite good.

All the aircrafts look new,probably got painted again.
New cash in-flow,new look,hopefully new concept of Airline business,and not the layed-back way its been run.
Look out,Lufthansa won't be there to hold your hands forever!!!
Any misconduct will give one of the other controlling states to have their rep: as the head of the company.
It seems they were not very happy,when Bahrains appointment took priority.
