Need help.

Gliding in India is practically dead given the complete mess up of regulations by DGCA and lack of airspace. If it was to be revived, what is a good source of information about airframe technology, operations, and training?

Specifically, I'd love to have source material on

1). whether carbon-fibre or other composite structures stand up to tropical ciimates and poor maintenance better than metal construction. Problems expected due to dust, heat and moisture.

2). which aircraft are capable of aero-tow and do they need modification for this.? are there motorised gliders which could also tow other gliders aloft, and if so what field length requirements ?

3). what certifications are required for maintenance and any other stumbling blocks...

Hugely grateful for any sort of feedback.

The British Gliding Association have a pretty robust organisation, you could do worse than speaking to them.

Welcome to the British Gliding Association (http://www.gliding.co.uk/)
