I just came across this recently. What type of aircraft would a PCN number of 40 (bearing strength) permit?

Depends if we are talking Rigid Pavement or Flexible Pavement............................and what sub grade catagory?? High, Med, Low or Ultra Low???

On a Rigid Pavement Subgrade High A then the A319-100 twin wheel main gear is a 40. As is the B727-100C and B737-700

On a Flexible Pavement Subgrade High A include B777-200 and B747SP are both classified 40
