What's the latest on the TSC fleet renewal? There was story going about ref. Allen Graham the head of TSC making an announcement this year on the type they're going for. I am going to assume that used A330s make much more sense financially rather than A350s - and the associated lead-time to getting them - unless a stepping-stone deal is put in place.

Can't see them going down the Boeing route - anyone care to comment ?

The latest so far is to have all A310 to A330 by the end of 2012. It will be a mix of new and used. But I doubt that all the A310 will be gone. We'll see.

Yes , A330s and we keep 4 A310 till 2016, rumours is total for 2010 will be 5 A330 to joint the fleet..( so 10 A330 total) all IFC lease EX Dragonair.

Another A330 on it's way next week.

As part of Air Transat's fleet renewal, Air Transat will be parting with
C-GTSI.
The A310-300 aircraft will be flown to Seville, Spain for some paint work before being delivered to it's new owners in Armenia.

On it's way to Air Transat is another A330-200, cn 369.
Currently with Edelweiss Air, Air Transat expect the new arrival around mid November (next week).

just to correct things.....The next A330 , cn 369. is arriving November next year( 2010.)

They already confirm that we will keep 4 x 310-300 till 2016

the plan who change all the time is now total 12 xA330 and 4 x A310 we will loose about 30 pilots for sure...:ugh:

12 - 330's and 4 - 310's.

Why lose 30 pilots? Is it not the same amount of aircraft that there is now? Or do you mean lose 30 pilots in 2016?

Just curious.

A340X,
Not sure who will own it.
It's showing that it left the TSC fleet on the 5th November, but does not show who it is now registered too.
As for the next A330 to arrive, it did originaly state mid November this year not next.

So, how did you come up with 30 laid off (assume that's what you meant by "lose") pilots? Where does this figure come from?

Etihad is still looking for pilots if anyone is interested. You need a 330 rating though.

Any further information regarding the rest of the A310's that are still in the fleet and their retirement and replacement?

I've noticed that the A310s have had full CPDLC installed, hardly something worth paying for if they're all being sold/scrapped soon?

AT recently added 737-800's to their fleet, from my knowledge on a permanent basis. From a wide-body perspective, i think they'll look to maybe getting new A330's with the neo option? I don't think AT needs an influx of brand new aircraft for their operations, unlike Westjet and Air Canada.

even with the A310's with 20+ years and certains at 25+ years?
