A glimmer of intelligence from the security types:

"Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge said yesterday the country needs a "trusted fliers" program to streamline bottlenecks at the nation's airports and deal with complaints that the system of random airport checks fails to target genuine terrorist threats."

Let's see if they count crews amongst trusted flyers. Politicians, of course. get an automatic pass.. .Wonder what criteria they will use to establish a trusted flyer? No drunken driving offences, fraud or adultery? Could be precious few business people qualifying. Surely they would not consider national origin - horrors!
