Afternoon all.

A few of us have taken over the care of the Super Guppy No1 F-BTGV at Bruntingthorpe and would greatly appreciate any manuals, docs or even knowledge etc on said aircraft, its mainly cosmetic tlc at the moment but who knows where this will lead.

Thanks in advance

The example at Airbus's Finkenwerder (Hamburg) plant has been recently re-painted (aledgedly to check out the new A380 paintshop) using what looks like mica paint - it looks stunning. Their Hansa-Jet has had a refresh too.

The Toulouse example could use a bit of tlc though.

If anyone has the manuals you seek, I guess it will be Airbus at Toulouse or maybe Hamburg.

Or maybe Les Ailes Anciennes in Toulouse. Address on this site:
Les Ailes Anciennes : Airbus and aeronautics : Sights and visits : Toulouse Tourist Office (http://www.uk.toulouse-tourisme.com/sights-and-visits-les-ailes-anciennes,1217530,16,62)

Good hunting,

Saman

Good on ya Bubbles, I've always been fascinated by this behemoth, ever since I saw F-BTGV droning westwards along Green 1 in the mid seventies. Better yet was the lowish pass by the other original Aeromaritime aircraft at Hatfield Open Day in the 1980s.

You will need a lot of chrome cleaner to get it looking like the NASA example I saw recently in Texas.
