Hi,
I've been asked to tell why cockpit windows have corners and are not shaped as passenger windows. Are there special reaasons?

Thanks in advance..

Think about your car windscreen - that has corners as well, so you can see all around clearly, no blind spots. Not such a criteria for pax at the cabin windows.

Thanks for answering. I've read that large windows with square corners could cause a fatigue crack to develope in the sharp corner of the window, and that's why windows should have round corners, but cockpit windows don't follow this principle. Why?

The corners of cockpit windows most certainly are rounded. A small radius is used in the corners as like you mentioned sharp corners can develop fatigue cracking.

Don't forget that you don't necessarily see the whole of the window because of the frame it's mounted in. Those hidden bits can hide the radius.
