A interesting and thought provoking article HERE (http://www.aviationadvertiser.com.au/2009/09/is-air-safety-being-served/), which reflects on the relationship which may exist between Australian airlines and CASA and the ATSB.

And as a footnote, we are aware of at least two recent high-altitude “jet upset” events with another Australian carrier.

Catchwords might include B737-800, FL410, holding pattern, system limits bank angle, autopilot disengage, mandatory reporting. Ask around

Are ATSB and CASA similarly aware?

Why don't you ask the ATSB and CASA and let us know what they say?

I guess it begs the question, does CASA and the ATSB have separate rules for:

The Qantas Group;
Other high capacity airlines;
The rest of the Australian aviation industry?

:confused: :confused:

This article is old news.

Personally, after reading one of said journos earlier articles that contained numerous unsubstantiated allegations, I stopped reading any more of his material.

Just my view and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
